GENERAL PROJECT INFORMATION
The new Puente Pumarejo will be the longest in whole Columbia. This bridge's construction will make it possible for large vessels to navigate throughout the Magdalena River. Such navigaation would have been previously completely inhibited by the current Pumarejo Bridge.
PROJECT BENEFITS
This bridge will improve the traffic flow between Barranquilla and Santa Marta, along Colombia's Atlantic Coast. It is hoed that this will then in turn solve the existing severe traffic problem in the area.
